Fear Not 220

The verse we hold close today is simple yet profound: "But do not be afraid of them..." from Deuteronomy 7:18. Life brings its share of intimidating moments. We wake to concerns about health, finances, or the well-being of those we love. News of global tensions and personal uncertainties can make the path ahead feel uncertain. On a date that carries memories of resilience and loss, it is natural for old fears to surface alongside new ones. Yet these ancient words speak directly into our present reality. They remind us that fear does not have the final say. God spoke them to people facing real and powerful obstacles, urging them to remember His presence rather than the size of their challenges. The same invitation reaches us this morning. Whatever stands before you today—an anxious thought about the future, a difficult conversation, or the weight of the wider world—pause and let the verse settle in. You are not asked to ignore reality. You are invited to face it with a different foundation: the steady faithfulness of God who walks with you. Take a quiet breath as the day begins. Release the grip of worry for a moment and recall how far you have already come. Small steps of courage, offered in trust, often open doors we cannot yet see. Throughout the hours ahead, let this promise shape your interactions. Offer a kind word, listen with patience, and choose hope even when circumstances feel heavy. Fear shrinks when we focus on love in action. You are held, seen, and deeply cared for.
