Fear Not 220

Good morning, friends. As the first light of this July 26, 2026, gently fills the sky, I am drawn to reflect on a verse that brings such comfort and strength. "There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear." From 1 John 4:18, these words remind us that when we rest in God's perfect love, the worries that often greet us at dawn begin to lose their hold. Many of us wake to real concerns these days. Headlines carry news of shifting economies, health uncertainties, and the everyday pressures of providing for family or planning for the future. It is natural to feel a knot of anxiety when the world around us feels unpredictable, especially as summer routines and personal responsibilities pile up. Yet the verse offers a quiet invitation. Perfect love does not ask us to pretend the challenges are not there. Instead, it steps in and gently pushes fear aside, replacing it with courage and peace. When we remember how deeply we are loved, we find the strength to face the morning commute, the difficult conversation, or the quiet moments of doubt with a lighter heart.
