Verse #213 of 220

Dear friends, As we gather here on June 11, 2026, for our daily reflection in the Fear Not 220 series, I want to share some thoughts on today's verse from Philippians. The words "...I rejoice and share my joy with all of you" from chapter 2, verses 17-18, come from Saint Paul, who was writing to the Philippians while in chains. Despite his difficult circumstances, Paul found reasons to rejoice in his faith and in the community of believers. He didn't hoard that joy; he actively shared it with others, encouraging them in their own journeys. Today, many of us are facing real challenges. The world continues to deal with economic pressures, environmental changes, and the everyday stresses of balancing work, family, and personal well-being. It's easy to feel isolated or discouraged amid all this. Yet, Paul's example shows us another way. Joy can be found in the simple acts of kindness we witness or perform. It can be in the support we give to a friend going through a tough time or in celebrating small victories together. Think about the current events unfolding around us. Whether it's news about international relations or local community issues, there's plenty that could steal our peace. But by focusing on the joy of the Lord, we can remain steadfast. For instance, families dealing with separation due to work or migration can find comfort in shared faith stories. Young people navigating education and career paths can be uplifted by words of encouragement from elders. As we move through our days, let's look for opportunities to share that joy. A text message to check on someone, a prayer offered for a stranger's needs, or even just expressing thanks for the blessings we have can make a difference. In our Catholic tradition, we are called to be people of hope and joy, drawing from the sacraments and the love of Christ. No matter what you're facing right now, know that you are not alone. Let's choose to rejoice and spread that light to those around us, bringing hope where it's needed most. #FearNot220 #213of220 #Catholic
