Verse #169 of 220

Biblical encouragement image
Dear friends, on this beautiful June day in 2026, I want to share a verse that feels like a gentle invitation straight from heaven. "Rejoice greatly, O daughter Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter Jerusalem!" These words from Zechariah 9:9 remind us that joy is not just possible—it is commanded, even when life feels heavy. Many of us are carrying quiet worries right now. Perhaps you are navigating uncertain job markets, watching global tensions unfold on the news, or simply feeling the weight of daily responsibilities that never seem to ease. It is easy to let fear whisper that things will only get harder. Yet this ancient call to rejoice points us toward a different reality: our King is coming, and He comes with salvation. Think about the people in Jerusalem who first heard these words. They faced their own uncertainties, foreign powers, and personal struggles. Still, the prophet urged them to lift their voices because hope was on the way. Today, that same hope arrives in our hearts through Christ, who entered the world humbly to bring peace and redemption. Rejoicing does not mean ignoring pain. It means choosing to trust that God is bigger than the headlines or the bills on the table. When we shout with joy, even softly in prayer, we make room for His light to shine into our situations. A difficult conversation with a loved one, a health concern that lingers, or the simple fatigue of modern life—all of these can be offered to the Lord who rides into our story with gentleness and victory. Let this verse encourage you today. Step outside if you can, feel the warmth of the sun, and remember that you are not forgotten. The same God who fulfilled this promise in Jesus continues to fulfill promises in your life. Small moments of gratitude can become shouts of joy that change the atmosphere around you. As we move through the rest of 2026, may we carry this hopeful spirit into our families, workplaces, and communities. Rejoice greatly, dear ones. Your King is near. #FearNot220 #169of220 #Catholic
